About the Festival

BUNDABERG ARTS FESTIVAL 

The Bundaberg Arts Festival is held in the first week in October each year. It has been running for over 34 years and is one of the most varied and valuable provincial Arts Festivals in Queensland.

 

Sections can include
Painting: Acrylic, Oil, Water Colour, Any Medium
Drawing,  Photography,  Ceramics, Textiles,
Literature: Short Stories, Poetry, Traditional and Modern.

Topics may be very general (any subject) or quite specific depending on the wishes of the award sponsor.Techniques may vary from abstract to representational depending on the wishes of the award sponsor. Many prizes are 'acquisitive' which means the sponsor keeps the winning entry


It is a condition of entry that all pieces (except Literary Works, Youth and Junior Sections) must be available for sale (with a commission of 25% charged by the Bundaberg Arts Festival Committee.)

All entries will close one month before the start of the festival.
